Samina never hesitates to support other disciplines when needed, most recently she has been covering her own shifts as well as coming in on her days off to support the OT team due to absences – Samina is passionate about service users she works with and wanted to ensure that activities can still happen and run as normal.
I have had recent times on the ward where in an acute crisis, Thanise has been immediately there to support any member of staff and responded effectively and safely to any situation that arises. I always trust that she’ll be there to support me or any other members of the team.
Amy (along with a number of colleagues) collected a large box of food items and a collection for my family following a recent illness within the family. This meant a lot to my family during a difficult time, and it is nice to feel appreciated and loved by the whole team. Amy goes above and beyond to organise events, birthdays and collections.
We recently had to deal with a serious crisis that we sought Amit for help with. He remained calm, professional and took lead on the situation and for that I was extremely grateful, without Amit’s support and clear, directive thinking, i don’t think the situation would have been handled as well as what it was. Thank you for being there!
Leanne works so hard to ensure staff remain up to date with their training both face to face and achieve. She is always a listening ear and will support people to make the best decisions. Her opinions are valid by everyone in the team as they know they will get a truthful answer! Thank you for all you do Leanne!

Lani supported a service user to a hospital appointment. The service user had a successful appointment and completed the treatment. Which has never happened before. Not only did we celebrate the success of the service user, but also Lani for her attentiveness and professionalism. We now ask you to join in with us, in this momentous success story!
Cassie has been able to support her manager with sharing work load. And supporting on the floor when needed. During crisis she has worked extremely hard to ensure all staff and residents remain safe and happy. She is an asset to my team. Hard work should be recognised where due. Great work Cassie
Adil went out on Christmas eve to do the food shop for beckly after a problem with delivery, to ensure they got fed over the Christmas period. Adil went out of his way on the busiest day of the year to buy the food so the residents had a Christmas dinner. Making sure everyone even the halal staff and resident was catered for.
Slavka has been a fantastic asset to Gledholt, always working hard and preparing lovely food. She is also a fantastic baker. Slavka always works hard but has worked her socks off, over the past few months, being the only chef at the unit and picking up many shifts. She has also been great showing the new cook the ropes. Clair is absolutely amazing. She supports the residents and staff at Oakhurst Lodge with patience and kindness. She is a fantastic role model; staying calm and ever compassionate in tough situations and then acknowledging when it is time take a break to recoup energy for the next challenge that may come along! Alfie is extremely hard working, and supportive of his patients and co-workers. He manages a high workload and the demands of the role really well; he has demonstrated lots of resilience in recent weeks/months – well done.
