Tony is a wonderful team player. He has created a positive ground for all staff. His continues presence in the lives of the staff has moved them to give their best. Tony is always available to render a helping hand even on days when he is not available and expected to. The staff and service users rely on him, and know him to be dependable.
when a patient was being attended to by 2 paramedics Andy stayed by his side, reassured him, explained what was happening and was a great comfort to a man feeling very poorly and anxious.
Tilly went beyond expectations to advocate for a resident (who has significant communication difficulties) in a recent annual review. Knowing her key resident well she advocated (in a difficult situation) the needs and wishes when the resident was unable to themselves. Thank you Tilly for being the voice of your key resident.
Anett has been helping a resident who has recently moved into Beckly to transition and settle in. Anett has been working with him to ensure his routine is followed and informing staff of his likes and dislikes, whilst sharing her knowledge. Anett has been very comforting by ensuring the service user is surrounded by home comforts and familiar items.
Sally is so supportive within Toller Road and has been a great support to me as the Interim Manager whilst we wait for the new Manager to start in post. She has taken on additional key roles such as the SRG lead and is keen to develop further skills to support the service. Ever task is also met with a smile which is so important! Thank you Sally
James has stepped into the role of key worker for one of our residents who has provided lots of challenges recently. James thought outside the box and communicated well with family, MDT and management to ensure everything is known to support the resident. There have been difficult times but James has continued to support and ensure the best outcome
Joe has been with us a outwood for a couple of months and he as stepped up to helping out on night as we have been short he as took the shifts with a can do attitude and as shown flexibility by moving from days to night and adjusting very well
Laurant is a star! She was the only night UC for a while and has had to manage some real difficult shifts and has still come out smiling the other end. Her organisational and communication skills have meant the hospital was kept safe with her at night, our hospital would not have survived without her! She doesn’t know how appreciated she really is!
Caitlin is always a Joy to work with as she is always so positive and caring. This is shown through her practice as she always brings those around her up and has even received compliments for service users parents about how happy they were to see how she supported their child.
After a serious incident Desmond not only ensured that he got the weapon off the service user as well as spending time with the S/U. He then ensured his colleague was ok and spent time with him as well. Desmond always puts others first and is a credit to Cygnet. Desmond could be awarded all 12 of the characters of care every day at Blackheath.
Olivia has recently taken on the role as Carers Lead and has excelled in this position. She has ensured that swift contact is made with each carer offering a listening ear, shown empathy and provided carers with information about our setting and where further support can be accessed. Carers have reported the vast difference this has made to them.
