Hayley has stepped up into a new role covering maternity leave for our Admin Manager. She has been so flexible and has basically been working two jobs whilst vacancies were unfilled. She has trained new admin staff up ready for her own maternity leave.
Gardening is not usually a passion for Zoe, but since helping our patients to renovate their garden areas she has gone above and beyond, by making raised flower beds at home and bringing them in for the patients to decorate and plant.
Vicky showed amazing resilience to complete the Emergency First Aid at Work course (with a very high score!) despite some of the content of the course causing her upset. She resiliently continued and absolutely smashed the course!
Molly has taken on the role of LGBTQ Ambassador for Victoria House. She has brightened up the hospital with all things PRIDE and as we work in a all male hospital, her courage to be her whole self at work is inspiring!
Dean as been the target of some very poorly patients. He has been physically & verbally assaulted. Dean has remained supportive/positive and continued to provide the best care possible. The team and patients look up to him with pride he is our rock.
Carmen takes great pride in her work and spends additional hours outside of work trying to improve the ward environment.
She has recently organised some lovely themed days at Nield House which have engaged the whole site and have thoroughly enjoyed.
Junaid promoted a resident who is non verbal and high on the Autistic Spectrum, working with him in a positive manner and able to empower this resident to go into the barbers, which he had never done and get a haircut without any issues or concerns
I would like to nominate Joanna for this award due to her ongoing ability to be flexible to meet patient needs. An example being when she stepped in to ensure two service users were able to attend an all day music festival last minute. Thank you Jo.
Paige has been working with a service user, who has undertaken a job in the reception area. She has gone above and beyond in supporting this lady, who has now successfully discharged. Her support massively helped the service user gain independence.
George has shown a new passion towards gardening and even made a sen/veg garden to encourage better mental health at our unit for service users to grow fruit and veg, they come into the garden and water it daily with staff and enjoy watching it grow.
Since starting at Broughton House in May 2022 Tracy has taken me under her wing and been extremely supportive allowing me to learn at my own pace, addressing any concerns and giving me the confidence to fly solo. She is a very inspiring leader.
Danique was promoted to Senior Support Worker earlier in the year. With recent acuity on the ward, Danique has taken on a leadership role, supporting both staff and the young people. This has subsequently grown her confidence with delegating tasks.
