I have recently become a full time member of staff at Victoria house. I had been working before this as part of agency staff. I regularly worked alongside Vicky and she always made me feel part of the team and this is why I joined the team full time.
I was injured in at accident at work, whilst distressed and in pain, Laura ensured to keep me calm and relaxed and administered first aid effectively to prevent any further injury whilst showing care and empathy.
Sarah has only been in her new Assistant Psychologist role for a month but she has taken on the role by storm. Even through some really difficult hardships she has had to face, she has given her all and has really grown as a person. I am really proud of her.
During the recent loss of one of our service users, Cara showed great comfort to his parents and went above and beyond to help and support them, she organised a signed shirt from the service users favourite football team.
Debra is always friendly and asks after me and my family when I visit the unit. She also donated to my son’s charity trip which was a lovely surprise. She made me feel cared for.
Sophie always provided positive vibes and displays a flexible working style. Buttercup is eternally grateful for the time, effort and overtime Sophie has committed to the ward. Sophie shows a wide diversity of skills on the ward, Thank you so much 🙂
Throughout recent hard times and grievances I have faced, Ellie has always offered me extensive levels of support. From daily phone calls to working shifts around what suits me Ellie has been a fabulous ward manager 🙂
Lauren has been training up two new Acting Team Leaders, whilst running her shifts and organizing staff on her own. Lauren has planned day trips for the residents and shows so much support to everyone. She deserves to be recognised!
Gaynor (Admin) went above and beyond in supporting our resident who was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension. This meant our resident was advised to exercise on a regular basis, to make this fun Gaynor started dance classes!
We recently introduced pink notes at Kirkside Lodge. Danny went above and beyond in supporting his team to get familiar with the new system. Danny used his own previous experiences to spend some 1:1 time with staff to support them with notes!
Devon Lodge has faced hard times with staffing and Becky has been very supportive and worked hard to support new staff and agency. Since coming over to Devon Lodge, to cover the home temporally, Becky has made me feel welcome and been supportive.
He’s a fairly new member of staff but has fit into the team well. I was working at another Cygnet site and a huge incident broke with a new admission to the service. Adil came to support the service and manage the incident.
