Lianne is a day brightener! She threw herself into our in-house festive sing and sign session last month which was completely joyful to behold. She seems to always know when the people around her need a pick-me-up… and delivers. Our jobs are very hard sometimes which makes Lianne’s ability to find the fun all the more valuable. Thank you!

My mother passed away the end of Oct. Mu showed me great empathy by supporting me to take short breaks when I needed a moment to myself. Mu recognised that it was a particularly emotional time for me as we were in the process of making Xmas decorations with our SUs. With Mu’s empathetic approach to all we maintained a great atmosphere at Textiles.

Ste has been all of these characters over the last month however has excelled in lending his empathetic ear to service users that have been struggling through the night times. After a really hard shift, Kym came to take over. She recognised that I looked stressed and deflated. She offered to have a debrief with me where I was able to tell her all my issues from the shift. She validated my concerns and suggested of ways to deal with these; which meant I went home stress free.

Tessa and Dean supported a resident to go for a procedure at the hospital which they were very anxious for. Tessa and Dean helped this resident to complete the procedure, offering constant reassurance, staying by their side throughout. Tessa and Dean showed true compassion and offered comfort during a worrying time, and the resident was incredibly grateful.

Katie has been moved from the Dunes to Hudson with very little notice. She has not complained about this once. She’s hard working, passionate and gives everyone her time. Jon is tireless in his dedication to his team, often supporting out of hours to ensure staffing levels are correct, his work ethic is amazing and nothing is too much for him.
